Up to a $5,000 award per year for 3 years |
| Selection |
Awarded at the discretion of the BCB Program Chair to an outstanding program applicant who has completed the application process and been admitted to the BCB program for Fall 2009 or Fall 2010. The maximum amount of the award is $5,000 per person each year for three years for a PhD student provided the student is making satisfactory progress toward his or her degree. |

James Cornette Research Fellowship in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology |
| Award |
The Cornette Fellowships provide $10,000 six-month research assistantships plus tuition, benefits, and fees. |
| Eligibility |
Ph.D. students majoring in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology who have completed at least their first year of graduate training are eligible to apply. Each student is eligible for a maximum of two Cornette Research Fellowships during his or her graduate program. Students must have met their program timeline requirements for academic, course, and training requirements and other required activities. (These requirements will vary for students depending on their program and their year of graduate study.) |

Pioneer Hi-Bred Graduate Fellowships |
| Award |
The L.H. Baker Center Fellowships sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred provide three $21,750 twelve-month research assistantships plus health benefits. The fellowship is for one year only and is not renewable. |

Applicants should submit a CV, their Professor's CV, and a short 4-page research proposal. In addition they should have three letters of recommendation sent to the address below.

DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship |
| Eligibility |
- Students must be citizens or permanent residents of the U.S.
- Students must be planning full-time, uninterrupted study toward a Ph.D degree at a U.S. university.
- Students in their first or second year of graduate study in the physical, engineering, computer, mathematical, or life sciences are eligible to apply for the DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship. Exceptional senior undergraduates who can meet all the requirements listed here may also apply.
- Applicants must be either U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens.
- Support of this fellowship is limited to 4 years and must be renewed each year
