Title: Arabidopsis Information Portal: A Community-Extensible Platform for Open Data

Abstract: The Araport ( project provides a comprehensive, evidence-based annotation of the Arabidopsis Col-0 reference genome, presented via a modern web portal for searching, browsing, and interacting with Arabidopsis data. Uniquely among all model organism resources, Araport is built from the ground up to be extensible by the research community. This talk will cover the the major Araport components: Thalemine, JBrowse, Science Apps, provide an update on the upcoming Araport11 genome release, and describe how researchers can get started sharing their own data and visualizations at Araport.

Join us for refreshments in the MBB atrium at 3:45 PM before the seminar.
