I attended the Genome Informatics conference this November, where I gave a talk on my recent work on the spatial dependency of gene expression. The meeting was held at the Cold Spring Harbor laboratories, one of the earliest and most prominent  genome research institutions in the world. The meeting covered various aspects of bioinformatics, including precision medicine, metagenomics and evolution, but it has a special focus on the latest long-read sequencing technology and computational tools developed to process the sequences. It was an eye-opening experience learning about the latest developments in the field.

Here is a photo of my advisor Iddo and me in the campus of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories, located on the beautiful long island beach.
