AMES, Iowa – David Grewell, professor of agricultural and biosystems engineering; Paul Plummer, associate professor of veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine; and Nicole Valenzuela, associate professor of ecology, evolution, and organismal biology,
have been selected to serve three-year terms on Iowa State University’s Biotechnology Council. The council makes recommendations to the Office of Biotechnology on program activities supporting biotechnology research, education and outreach.
The Biotechnology Council, established in 1984, represents the five academic colleges involved in biotechnology research at Iowa State University: Agriculture and Life Sciences, Engineering, Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. The ten-member Biotechnology Council is chaired by James Reecy, professor of animal science, BCB faculty member, and director of the Office of Biotechnology.
