I am a graduate student currently pursuing my doctorate in the field of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at Iowa State University. I am interested in studying placental development during pregnancy by using next-generation sequencing (NGS) datasets. Currently, I am working on methods to integrate different sequencing datasets including RNA-Seq and ChIP-Seq to study different placental development processes during embryo development in the mouse. I am also studying the effects of hypoxic condition on early human trophoblast cells development using embryonic stem cells model. In our earlier studies, we showed that the BAP treated embryonic stem cells are good models to study early placental development in humans. In addition to this, I also have experience and interest in building biological databases and bioinformatics tools.
