I am a Ph.D. student interested in developing computational techniques to better harness the power of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). I designed a computational pipeline that can automate gene prediction from expression data. As an extension to this project, we are developing a framework to build consensus gene annotation from multiple RNA-Seq datasets using statistical approaches. In my other project, I developed software to extract putative interactors of a protein from yeast-two hybrid NGS data. Currently, I am working on designing a software that can compress alignment data optimally saving a huge amount of space.
